A group for the emancipation of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a Presidential Candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC in the 2023 general election, has called for the support of Southwest people and beyond towards the aspiration of Tinubu in becoming the next president.
The group “Asiwaju project beyond 2023″ today at a press briefing emphasised on the need to give total support to Tinubu saying there are enormous benefits for Nigeria as a nation if he (Tinubu) emerges as the next president.
The Director, Media and Publicity for the group, Mr. Adeboye Adebayo while speaking in Ibadan on the theme: “2023; Tinubu/Shetima; Analysing The Expectations and Promises of the Renewed Hope” observed that Tinubu is an experienced leader that is needed at the top of affair in Nigerian politics, adding that his expertise will go a long way in correcting the bad economic situation of the country.
He noted that Tinubu, among the other top contenders, has what it takes to take the country to the promised land adding that none of the contenders can match up with him in terms of political intelligence to run the race.
Adebayo, recalled that when Tinubu was the governor of Lagos State, he increased the economic fortune of the by reviving moribund companies, which he met in shambles.
He said, the APC presidential candidate raised the Internally Generated Revenue, IGR of the state from the paltry N20 million to N50 billion within a short period of his governance.
“If he can do that in Lagos as a governor, we also need him to this and more as president of this country.” he said.
Adebayo notified that in the area of health, Tinubu has promised to resuscitate the health sector by engaging people who will turn the sector around for good and make it possible for everyone to have access to good medical care.
“We therefore need your support towards his success as the next President of this nation where everyone will have a renewed Nigeria in 2023″ he said.
