In line with his administration’s commitment to worker welfare and response to the current economic challenges, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved a revised work schedule and extended palliative payments for public servants.

This decision is aimed at alleviating the financial strain on civil servants caused by rising transportation costs. The new measures are part of Governor Adeleke’s ongoing efforts to provide relief to public workers in the state.

According to a circular issued by the Office of the Head of Service, the revised work schedule is as follows:

– Public servants on Grade Levels 01 to 10 are now required to work three days a week.

– Public servants on Grade Levels 12 to 17 will work four days a week.

However, those in essential services, including medical personnel, security officers, political office holders, and accounting officers, are expected to maintain their regular work schedules.

Additionally, accounting officers in the Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) will be responsible for coordinating the specific workdays for their staff within the stated categories.

In further relief, Governor Adeleke has also approved the continuation of palliative payments to public servants for the next two months, pending the implementation of the new minimum wage in the state.

All accounting officers, including those in local governments, have been instructed to ensure full compliance with the new directives.

This move demonstrates Governor Adeleke’s commitment to the well-being of workers and response to the present economic situation in the country.
