Government should focus more on profering longterm solutions to people’s problems – Ademola Agoro
The Managing Director, Protogy Global Services Ltd., Engr. Ademola Agoro has encouraged government at all levels to focus more on profering longterm solutions to people’s problems so as to add values to their lives.
He made this appealed while talking to the National Association of Christian Journalists (NACJ) Oyo State Chapter recently in Ibadan.
According to him, Government at all levels should encourage researchers, scientists and manufacturers, by spending more on research and development that can give longterm solutions to people’s problems saying this will reduce the hardship Nigerians are facing to minimum level.
He also disclosed that politicians should not wait till election period before they can do something meaningful for the masses saying, the best way to help people is to empower them so that they can stand on their own and becomes useful for themselves and their society.
Agoro who is also the Vice President, Collaboration and Linkage, Nigeria Society of Engineers South West noted that there is absolutely nothing we want to produce in Nigeria that we did not have resources to produce it but the irony of it is that Nigeria Government do not make much effort in ensuring that Nigeria becomes a manufacturing country but rather spends lot of funds on importation which is grossly affecting our economy.
He therefore call on researchers to embark on more research that can solve some of the problems Nigerians are facing and also encouraged them to make the research open so that everyone can see the results and the values it will bring if adopted.
