Churches should promote youths special skills to avoid being hijacked – Idowu Ogedengbe
Churches all over the World have been encouraged to embrace and promote youths special talents and skills so as not to be hijacked for ungodly acts by the society.
The Resident Pastor, House on the Rock, Ibadan, Rev. Idowu Ogedengbe gave this advice recently in Ibadan during a church program themed, Insights for Thriving in Trying Times .
According to the man of God, churches are loosing raw talents every now and then due to lack of support from the churches noting that, it is the responsibilities of churches to recognise the unique skills of our youths and encourage them to promote those skills so that they can be useful to themselves, the churches, the families and their society at large.
Reverend Ogedengbe emphasised that church should give all the necessary support to Youths in their various areas of specialty ranging from music, drama, tech, photography, media and different areas where they can be groomed.
Ogedengbe, who is also an Executive Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Administration noted that there are lots of invisible opportunities in every problem, crises and issues and Christians needs the enablement of the holy spirit to be able to see beyond those problems and create solutions to those problems.
The Clergy added that as Christians, “we should see how we can be richer in the face of poverty and how we can flourish in the face of problems” urging Christians to be guided by the Holy spirit and find solutions to any problems that arise in their community .
Ogedengbe therefore call on the good people Oyo State to have patience with the present administration saying the government is not planning to give people only food items which will be eaten and forgotten but its working on how to lift many people from poverty by impacting them with skill capacities projects that will enable them to create employments and add values for themselves, families and even their states.
