A fully-loaded petrol tanker has lost control in Apata area of Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
The incident which occurred opposite Oando filling station on Thursday evening caused some havoc at Apata junction.
According to an eyewitness, “the tanker, which was coming from Omi area lost control and ran into a block of shops opposite the filling station and exploded immediately.
As at the time of filing this report, the number of affected shops have not been ascertained but men of Oyo State Fire Service had been trying to control the situation as they are still at the venue trying to quench the fire.
