In a bid to proof his worthiness and readiness to rule Nigerians in the forthcoming Presidential election, The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu has assured the South-West People of his plans to ensure rapid growth in all sectors of the economy for the benefit of all Nigerians.
Tinubu who disclosed this on Sunday in Ibadan during a Town Hall Meeting with Muslim Leaders of South-West Nigeria assures Nigerians of excellent governance void of religion and ethnicity adding that Nigerians should expect all round development from his government .
The former governor of Lagos State who was accompanied by some prominent APC leaders and aspirants in the state vowed to end the reign of terror, kidnappings and other violent crimes by recruiting personnel that would be professionally trained in the area of security and also provides more security tools and gadgets for effective fight against criminalty.
The townhall programme registered large turnout of people as Islamic leaders were drawn from the six States in the South-West part of the country.
Tinubu who commended religious leaders across the country for their continuous prayers towards the unity and peaceful co existence among Nigerians said that he is a candidate of all ethnic and religious groups, saying his administration would unite the country.
The presidential candidate disclosed that his administration if elected would fix power problem, create job opportunities that will reduce unemployment of youths drastically, reduce poverty level and boost the economy to a very large extent.
The Presidential Candidate pledged to diversify and restructure some systems so as to achieve some developmental goals in the area of education, agriculture, technology, industrial policy, infrastructures, power sector and health sector.
Tinubu who reaffirmed that if he becomes the next President of Nigeria, there will be no industrial action in the nation’s tertiary institutions and also promised to pay West African Senior School Certificate Education (WASSCE) fees so as to ease the struggles of parents in paying for the examination.
According to the former Governor of Lagos State, “Nigeria is a great Country that is blessed with enormous natural resources and I promise to utilise all these resources to the best and advantage of my people”.
He said “With my expertise in the area of resources management, I am the most competent of all the Presidential Candidates considering my capacities and intelligence in the area of Internal Generated Revenue (IGR).
Tinubu therefore called on religious leaders not to relent in praying for his victory in the forthcoming election and also called on Nigerians to believe in him saying he will rule without bias and sentiments.
The Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat urged the people to vote Tinubu based on his competence and track records saying the APC Presidential Candidate during his tenure as Lagos State Governor increased the Lagos State Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) from N600 million to over N50 billion and make Lagos State a State that could stand as a Country on its own.
Sen. Teslim Folarin, the APC Governorship Candidate appreciated the Islamic leaders in the region for organising the townhall meeting and appealed to them to ensure Tinubu and all APC Candidates emerge winner in the 2023 general election.
He said ” Tinubu is a candidate that understands true governance and he has the potentials to take Nigeria to the next level, He is not a leader that will use religion or tribe to segregate this nation but a visionary leader that believes that every Nigerian should benefit from dividends of democracy “.
