A non partisan Ibadan-based Information Technology Expert, Nurudeen Adesokan has advised politicians in Oyo State to imbibe the culture of political tolerance and maturity for betterment of the society.
The Ibadan based Programmer who was apparently reacting to the recent allegations of destruction of political billboards in the State said he was amazed to see different political billboards in the same spot in Sabo area of Mokola, Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.
He urged politicians across the State to learn political tolerance and maturity from Hausa Community in the State.
According to him, “the billboards are fixed on top of two different buildings that are beside each other and was very close to their worshiping centre.”
He noted that the two different buildings were besides each other and there was no record of attack or destruction of any of the billboards in the area.
“Considering the frequent clashes and destruction of opposition billboards and properties being reported almost on a daily basis in other parts of Ibadan and the State at large, when you talk of political maturity, this is one and this is how it should be,” Adesokan said in the statement.
