I’m The Most Qualified Of All The Candidates Contesting The Oluyole State Constituency Seat – Oyewole, SDP Candidate
The Social Democratic Party candidate for the Oluyole state constituency, Hon. Saheed Abiola Oyewale has said he is the most qualified of all the candidates contesting for the local government’s state assembly seat.
Oyewole stated this while featuring on a Radio program with Tunde Adedokun the presenter, on ‘Agbo Oselu’ at Solution 93.9, Ibadan.
According to him, he emerged as the candidate of the SDP for the Oluyole state constituency based on his experience, capability, integrity and the confidence people of the local government have in him, stated that the reverse was the case with the majority of other candidates because they were brought to contest through their political godfather while some candidates are been imposed on others preferred aspirants within their party.
In his words he said, “Many candidates contesting for state house of assembly for 2023 in our local government are not qualified, most don’t know the terrain of our local government, not living within Oluyole, just brought by their party to contest there.
” Most of these guys were brought to the masses to be voted for, just because they belong to a particular political party. There are cases where some got the ticket forcefully through the help of their godfathers, this type of candidate if eventually emerged will start traveling overseas and start tormenting the masses instead of serving their people because to be a leader is to be a servant of the people.”
While speaking during the interview, Hon. Oyewale revealed some of his plans, for the people of the Oluyole constituency if elected. “I will propose a bill to the Oyo State government to create a football academy in each local government of Oyo state and return, it will serve as IGR for the State government, I will also propose a bill to start the farming of Soya and Cassava because there is high demand for this crops in most industries in Oyo state most especially Oluyole LG”
The aspiring lawmaker also advised the residents of Oluyole not to be carried away by fake campaign promises this time around and urged them to disassociate from violence and vote wisely with their PVC come election day.
